FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

This is a program you will need to use to upload pictures, templates, plugins and everything else to your web/blog site, there are many to choose from but the one I use is called FileZilla!, it is an excellent program and whats more it is absolutely FREE!, just click on the link, download fileZilla client and install.

There are countless photo, graphic and video manipulation programs available, some you have to pay for, others are free, many have free trials so you can try before you buy.

One service which will allow you to create snazzy videos from you own photo’s and video’s is animoto, from their website you can create a free 30 second video to try it out, follow the link below and watch the demo… its quite impressive!.

HTML Editors/Web Authoring

Before you upload webpage templates, mini sites or squeeze pages to your site, you need to modify/personalise them to add your name, order/payment links etc, you do this using HTML (hypertext markup language) editing software. ScreenCam software

You know those great tutorial videos you get on-line and with info products? the ones which show you on-screen exactly what to do? well they are called screen-cam videos and you create them using… you guessed it! Screen-Cam software!.
The most popular software used by professional marketers is called ‘Cantasia Studio’, this is a paid for product (although there is a free 30 trial available) and is not cheap, but it is the best that I am aware of.

There is however a free alternative called ‘CamStudio’ which you should cut your teeth on before going for Camtasia when your budget and experience permit.
